This trend was influenced by the trade war with China in 2018-2019, when manufacturers were waiting for a 25% tariff imposition that ultimately did not materialize.
According to Statista, the average TV screen size in the US is 50″. However, this information doesn’t give us much insight into what sizes are popular because it includes both TVs produced in previous years and still in use in households, and is simply an “average temperature.” If you’re choosing a TV for the kitchen, you’re unlikely to consider a 65 or 90-inch TV and will be more inclined towards smaller models. The most popular TV screen sizes
All TV sizes can be categorized into several segments:
- Under 32 inches. This segment has almost disappeared recently; you can only find budget entry-level models with sizes smaller than 32 inches.
- 32-45 inches. In this segment, 32-inch and 43-inch models are the most popular. In particular, you can find these sizes in almost any model of Samsung and LG TVs. TVs of these sizes are mainly chosen for the kitchen or a small bedroom.
- 46-55 inches. The most popular models in this segment are 50- and 55-inch TVs. They are suitable for medium-sized living rooms.
