Snapchat has become a great place to chat, learn about new people, and just have a good time. Like all other messengers, Snapchat also has access to emojis. These funny icons have had an incredible impact on modern culture.
Not only do they help enhance the emotional coloring of your messages, but they are often indispensable attributes for attracting attention in texts or posts.
However, in Snapchatter, the emoji is also an indicator of your snaps between you and Snapchatter. Snapchatter uses a certain set of emojis, which can get boring over time. So in this article, you will learn how to customize the emojis to suit you and your friends.
What does Streak Emojis mean
In fact, Snapchat by default provides users with three types of streak emojis:
Fire streak emojis
If you have been sending snaps to your friends or to a specific person for several days, at least one snap every 24 hours, then after three days of such a pace you will receive Snapstreak, or more precisely, a fire emoji.
In order to keep this Snapstreak, you mustn’t send snaps alone, you should also receive snaps in response from your friend, as already mentioned, once a day. The number next to the fire emoji indicates how many days you’ve been on a streak with this person
Hundred streak emojis
As already mentioned, when you support Snapstreak, a number appears in front of the moji indicating how many days you have sent each other snaps. When you have reached 100 days, the number 100 appears in front of the Snapstreak emoji.
As your streak continues, you’ll see the number next to the hundred memoji increase, though the emoji itself won’t count up with you
Hourglass streak emojis
When you see the Hourglass emoji, it means that your streak will soon come to an end and reset. The point is that if you want to continue the shoot, you will have to exchange snaps quickly. The hourglass emoji appears after 20 hours of radio silence, so you and your friend have four hours left to keep the streak going
Is it possible to change and customize Streak Emojis
The answer is yes, you are able to do so. With each day you add to a Snapchat streak you’re changing the default number emoji since the number of days keeps going up.
However, there is an option to change the standard fire emoji to something else. Below you can read an instruction to do so:
- Open the Snapchat app
- Tap your profile picture in the top-left corner of the screen
- Tap the Settings icon in the top-right corner of the screen
- Scroll down and tap Manage
- Select Friend Emojis
- Scroll down and tap Snapstreak!
- Select any emoji you prefer from the list (however “fire emoji” will be the first one on the list)
This feature will give you the opportunity to use your favorite memes, or those that fit your theme. It is very cool that when you change the emoji, you won’t lose the progress of your streak.
You simply change the emoji itself, and unfortunately, your index in front of it cannot be changed. Similarly, you can’t change your progress in the form of the number 100, because it represents your progress. Another static emoji is the hourglass because it is responsible for the status of your streak, so you will pay attention to it.
How to get rid of Snapstreaks
Unfortunately, Snapchat doesn’t give its users the option to remove this feature completely. The only option is to ignore the other person on Snapchat for at least 24 hours. Truth be told, Snapchat doesn’t give its users much time. Then wait a little while for your streak to reset.
Another way is to reset your friend’s emojis to default. In order to do this, tap your profile picture in the top-left of the screen, tap the Settings icon in the top-right, tap Manage, then Friend Emojis.
From here, scroll all the way to the bottom of the screen and tap Reset to default. This will clear your current streak and the emojis will be changed to the default emojis.
