Samsung microwave oven model numbers have a unique structure and consist of several components: the device identifier, capacity, model year (not the year of manufacture), model number, color identifier, and the country code for which the microwave oven was manufactured. Model numbers vary slightly by region, so the model numbers of microwave ovens manufactured for North America and Europe differ.

For countries outside the European Union, international codes are used.
- E3 — United Kingdom
- E1, ES — Spain, Italy, Netherlands
- EF — France
- EG — Germany
- EE, E4 — Denmark, Norway
- UA — Ukraine

Country codes are not used in Korea since Samsung is a Korean company. Samsung also does not sell microwaves in Japan or China, as demand for its home appliances is very low in these markets. Consumers in these countries generally prefer domestic brands when purchasing home appliances.
